The SAFE Program

The Get SAFE Program is a Safety Awareness & Training solution based on a study developed by Stanford university, which discovered changing behaviour through "inescapable messaging". Inescapable Messaging strategies have been used in Public Communications Campaigns & Evaluations to improve the effectiveness of behavioural change.

“Inescapable Messaging” calls for all social marketing (training) strategies to centre around 3 aspects:

1.Credibility with the Audience & Message being Delivered
2. Relevance to the Audience’s World ( psychographic conditioning)
3.Inescapable Truths – Inescapable truths are best described as short, impact statements, often facts or statistics, which the audience cannot rationally dismiss out of hand.


In the Get SAFE Program the credibility and relevance factors are used to change attitudes and inescapable truths are used to change behaviour. Behavioural change towards Work Safety is, of course, the ultimate goal.
